As I was going to the office this morning, I heard a loud bang as I was entering the gate. It came from my right. I paused, gave a quick glance around but saw nothing out of the ordinary. I went on my way, proceeded to the office and started working. About ten minutes later, a security guard came in. He looked as if he would faint. When we asked him what happened, he said that a gun was accidentally discharged at the guardhouse. A guard was putting down his fully loaded gun and it suddenly went off. It happened just as I was entering the gate. The loud bang I heard was the gunshot. Fortunately for me and for the other people who were outside the building when it happened, the bullet was lodged at three logbooks stacked  in front of the gun. If those logbooks had not been there….
