Lost in HK, day 1

August 30, 2009
The flight to Hongkong was unremarkable. We were met by someone from the travel agency and then delivered to our hotel. There were other Filipinos travelling with us but we were billeted at different hotels. We rested for a while to escape the summer heat. After a few hours of sleep, we woke to have a late lunch in a place recommended to us by the front desk.

It was a good choice. Lunch was very good.  We had noodles with pig knuckles, noodles with dumplings and pork, and noodles with fish ball or something. The server, when she found out we could not speak Chinese, avoided our table and we had to wait and wait and wait until a younger guy who could speak English came over and we made point-point at the menu. At least, my dream of going to Hongkong just to eat noodles came true.

After lunch, we wandered about the area and the night markets along Temple Street and Jade Street were just starting to set up.  We walked and walked and walked until we chanced upon this:

They sell mostly roast meat. Beside us, there were only two persons in the shop. But when we have placed our order, suddenly, the shop was full of people. So I thought that the food must be good.

We couldn’t resist so we had an early dinner of take-out roast duck. which was very savory. Mmm.

And then it was an early night for us.

Lady pasta, we (my travel companions and me) have an agreement: in one year, one travel outside pinas and one or two travels inside pinas. next, we will be somewhere south. excited na ako. I hope maganda ang panahon.

inggit ako sa yo. i want to go to batanes din but I still have to look up kung kelan konti ang bagyo doon. ayaw kong stranded dun

really me and may friends din, we agreed that every year kailangan may 1 or 2 places kaming mapuntahan.

I want to explore batanes kase feeling ko konti pa lang ang nag pupunta doon.

After this batanes, me and my uncle plan to go to Bicol or Sorsogon, kase nakwento ko sa kanya na okey din sa Bico and Sorsogon.

Where in south kayo punta?

Lady, pag punta kayo ng Sorsogon, make sure na you drop by Donsol for butanding watch. December to April ata yun. Allot 2 days for it para kung hindi mo nakita sa 1st day yung butanding, meron ka pang 1 more chance. Swerte kami noon kasi nakakita agad kami ng butanding at may dolphins pa.

Yung next destination namin, abangan mo na lang. ;D

Pwede bang magdiving doon? ano pa yung pwede naming puntahan doon?
